This event starts from Tehran. We start in the early morning around 4 Am to benefit from the chilly mountains’ mornings in the first part of the trip which is also the toughest. A van will transfer us and our bikes from Tehran to Garmabdar which is a small village in the north east mountains of the capital. From this point we start with the bikes and we have to gain altitude and reach the peak which is the natural border of Lar National park. After riding down the mountains and crossing rivers and nice glaciers in the middle of a hot summer we will reach the grass lands of the park. Here is the home for nomads and their herds. It will take three to four hours untill the lake appears and still three more hours of a hard biking to reach the rangers station where the van is waiting for us.
